MINNEAPOLIS, MN, USA - January 4, 2012 - Milestone Systems, Inc., $35 million value-added integrator of network security and high availability solutions, today announced that its Security Practice Manager, Mr. Robert Edinger, MSIA, CISSP, has been named a "Senior Member" of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), a not-for-profit, international organization of information security professionals and practitioners.
ISSA says this status puts Edinger among "an exclusive cadre of leaders within the international information security community."
ISSA created Senior Membership status to recognize, as well as tap into, the wealth of experiences its members bring to the information security community. Senior Members act as ISSA ambassadors to provide insights and guidance in a range of areas, including:
- Technical, academic and research excellence
- Managerial and program/project excellence
- Encourage interaction with fellow ISSA members
- Enhance the value perception of the ISSA in the information security industry

A member of ISSA for 14 years, Edinger is a veteran information security professional with almost 2 decades in consulting and leadership roles for private, public, government, and corporate organizations of all sizes and verticals. He earned CISSP designation in 1998. He holds a B.A.-Business Management from Bethel University (Minnesota) and an M.S.-Information Assurance from Norwich University (Vermont.) At Milestone, Edinger is responsible for the security consulting and audit services practice, project management, security thought leadership, and sales support.
