Milestone Systems, Inc. Receives 2010 Best of Minneapolis Award
U.S. Commerce Association Honors the Achievement
NEW YORK, NY, May 2010 -- Milestone Systems, Inc. of Minneapolis MN has been selected for the 2010 Best of Minneapolis Award in the Computer Related Consulting Services category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).
The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that it believes have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Milestone Systems, Inc. is a local company with country-wide reach. The 10-year-old firm has offices in 3 states (MN, GA, FL) and clients in 34 states across the USA. In 2009, a painful year for the IT industry as a whole, Milestone grew by 30%. Now in 2010 celebrating its 10-Year Anniversary and employing nearly 40 people, the company is living proof that small- to mid-sized tech firms can thrive in the current business climate.
"When you look back at the last 10 years within the IT industry, it's remarkable how many companies have come and gone-they are either absorbed by a larger entity or simply closing their doors," reflects Milestone CEO Michael Kohler. "With technology constantly changing, I think some providers get too far out on the edge, when what customers want is solutions to their problems. Our job is to cut through the noise and provide solutions that work, from both a business perspective and a technology perspective."
While most technology service providers of a similar size maintain a strictly regional footprint, Milestone has established a national presence based upon its focused approach. With more than 700 clients since its inception (many of which are Fortune 500 companies), Milestone serves IT groups in financial, retail, legal, healthcare, manufacturing and education markets, and is one of the most experienced integrators of high-availability and security devices for enterprise computer networks in the country.
The U.S. Commerce Association (USCA) is a New York City based organization funded by local businesses operating in towns, large and small, across America. The purpose of USCA is to promote local business through public relations, marketing and advertising.
