Of the many powerful new features in F5's version 10 of BIG-IP, two of the highlights are application templates and iSessions.

Application templates are F5 Application-Ready Solution deployment guides condensed into a single form on the BIG-IP system. Select your application, fill out the template, and everything from pools to virtual servers are automatically built for you. This even includes WebAccelerator and Application Security Manager polices. This should help you with the complexities of deploying Application Delivery Networks.

iSessions enable you to build compressed, secure, and optimized TCP sessions between BIG-IP devices located in different data centers for any application. iSessions is the technology that made possible the recent VMware announcement.
